Overview: Lebanon is known throughout the world as having one of the best cuisines in the world. Lebanon drives its rich gastronomy from the many civilizations that have occupied it from modern to ancient.
For breakfast we will head to Soussi restaurant for a traditional breakfast, although not so fancy, you’ll understand why the locals wait in line to eat breakfast there.
We will also trying another famous breakfast pizza-like oven bread with different seasonings called “man-oucheh”. It comes with different topings the most famous of which: 1) Thyme, sesame, and olive oil 2) cheese 3) meat, tomatoes, and onions.
We’ll then head to a local juice shop and drink some local specialties. With that out of the way, we’ll try the most famous falafel in Lebanon. How about a shawarma after that and wash it down with a local drink called Eeran. If you thought that was it… you’re mistaken. We’ll then try some popular appetizers and salads at a famous resto-cafe.
This binge of delightful tastes will start to take a toll. We hop into the car and head to Borj Hammoud (little Armenia) where we will walk off the food coma stage, and taste the nation-wide famous basterma Mano.
Your day is not complete until you taste Lebanese sweets. We got you covered! We’ll explore and taste the finest sweets at Lebanon’s premiere sweet’s shop called Hallab.
